Meet Our Scholars

Esperanza Scholars have traveled great distances, both literally and metaphorically. Each and every one has achieved “more with less,” overcoming challenges unique to the immigrant experience and working tirelessly in order to achieve his or her dreams.

Some of our scholars have immigrated to the United States alone, worked full-time jobs while attending high school, taken care of their younger siblings after school instead of joining clubs, and managed to learn English in just a few years.

Learn more about our scholars, including valedictorians, campus leaders,  accomplished musicians and athletes, GED holders, and more.

Esperanza Career Days helped me land my first internship, which led to my second internship and my first full-time job. Esperanza's Career Days set the foundation for the rest of my professional career.

I was so grateful for the financial support and flexibility Esperanza afforded me, and it was also very helpful to have a mentor checking in on a professional capacity.

As immigrants, we don't necessarily have roots in this country or may not have someone with a career in our field to look up to, but Esperanza made me feel like I had someone I could rely on.
